Bears repeating -- do not judge the strength of computer go by the programs able to play on an Android device. Nor by the the strength of some of the bots running on machines far more powerful than what you might have at home (unless perhaps you are a very serious gamer).

I read about the endgame on sensei's library and to be honest it is super confusing. What counting method should I use in practical games?
