Re: replacement for damaged Hebsacker Yunzi stones

Hi everyone,

I received the replacement stones from Hebsacker Verlag!

They arrived very fast, and my late reply is in fact due to me getting the flu shortly after posting here and then catching up with work...

The best part is that I actually received more stones than I asked, and in the package ...

Re: replacement for damaged Hebsacker Yunzi stones

This doesn't change anything about your post, but one thing to remember is that if you run out of stones, you can do a "prisoner exchange" with your opponent. I kind of think of it as adding a spy element to the war that is go

Each player takes an equal number of prisoners and places them into ...

Re: replacement for damaged Hebsacker Yunzi stones

Useless answer, but why not get normal glass stones? I keep reading about these weird things happening to yunzi stones. I have had glass stones chip, but that has been really rare.

When I started to look into Go gear, yunzi stones kept on coming back in discussions as nice ones in terms of ...

Re: replacement for damaged Hebsacker Yunzi stones

I recently bought a set of yunzi stones from Yellow Mountain Imports and it came with five or six extra stones of each color, in separate little ziplock baggies. Clearly their supplier recognized the value/need to supply extras given the chances of breakage. In the set I received, only one black ...

Re: replacement for damaged Hebsacker Yunzi stones

To the OP, just don't worry about it, excessive OCD is not compatible with Chinese go playing culture. If you really want to indulge in OCD, get a Japanese slate and shell set from Mr. Kuroki. Otherwise, the number of stones will never be an issue in practice.

Well, thinking about what you said ...

[SOLVED] replacement for damaged Hebsacker Yunzi stones

Update 04 Feb 2013: Everything solved! Thanks Hebsacker Verlag!

Hello everyone

I just arrived ... and already have a question

After much reading about Go stones, I decided to purchase Yunzi stones at Hebsacker. Unfortunately four white stones were broken upon arrival, with white powder, which ...

I'm new here

Hi everyone,

After being fascinated by the visual aesthetics of Go (and how it reminded me of cellular automata), I finally decided to read a bit more about the game and its history. After watching some Youtube videos and lurking on this forum, I installed Gobandroid on my tablet and started ...
