Re: Hallo from Scotland and/or England

Welcome.

Would it be easier to say "from UK" or "from GB" (which both, AFAIK, cover both England and Scotland - at least for now)?

Re: Working at home and staying sane

I think the biggest obstacle for WfH (or working remotely in general) has been employers' attitudes. Some employers have categorically denied any remote work because they have thought they can not control their employees. Now that almost every company that can operate remotely has been forced to do ...

Re: Cooking amateurs

Although having a vacuum sealer is useful, you don't really need it for sous vide as there is the water immersion method with just a ziplock bag.
This is true, but without vacuum sealer getting the air out is more difficult. And if you don't get the air out, there are two potential problems:
- the ...

Re: Cooking amateurs

Thank you very much, I'll dig into details, and I'm sure I will be trying sous vide in no time!
Good luck!

one more potential downside I forgot to mention is that it is not "fast food". You need hours in most cases, and in some extreme cases even days (the longest cooking times I've seen are ...

Re: Cooking amateurs

BBQ is great (and from April to October I prepare most of my dinners on fire)

For amateur cooks who want to excel (esp. when cooking meat, but also other ingredients: fish, vegetables, eggs etc) I have two words: sous vide

(and, you can also combine sous vide with bbq)

I heard about using this ...

Without seeing the requirements, I would probably go with PHP & MySQL (or MariaDB), so it could be deployed on virtually every website hosting provider.
Would you be willing and able to make this?

See m for the current catalogue.
