Re: Setting up Lizzie and Leela Zero in a cloud?

Marcel Grünauer wrote:As long as you can run ssh locally, you can use Leela Zero on Google Cloud.

And the detailed instructions show how to configure the Google Cloud instance; of course you can adapt them to running Leela vis SSH.

Did you get Lizzie running on windows connected to a gcloud instance?

Re: nothing fancy

Here just a quick update. I was really busy solving tsumegos on tsumego-hero the last two month. In february alone I solved 2000 problems, and all in all I solved around 3000 problems. The improvment in reading ability is astonishing. Almost all my games whether they are online or in the local club ...

Re: Ian Butler's Journal - studying in Germany

Hey Ian, I found that it is way easier for me to keep my focus and get into the right mindset, if I only play on serious game per day. Trying to play your best is more satisfying than playing more games. Also if I want to play more Go afterwards I solve some tsumego on tsumego-hero or read a go book ...

Re: nothing fancy

I played 3:1 in the last tournament. Won against a 4k, 7k and 5k. Lost against a 4k. This 4k always plays super fast and last time we meet in a different tournament I used my time and beat him... this time I got caught up in his flow and he cut my moyo into pieces.

Overall I am satisfied with my ...

Re: nothing fancy

Hello Bill,
thank you for the reply. You are right Go requires more than one skill, I should not neglect the other areas of the game.

In other news, I finished Get Strong at Tesuji, The Direction of Play and Jump Level Up! 4. I stumbled upon The Direction of Play by accident and finished reading it ...

Re: nothing fancy

After I selfpromoted to 4k in 2014 my rating points steadily declined. 4k was not realistic. From 2014 to 2017 I played in 9 tournaments and every week in my local Go club. But my Go did not improve.
Go is my main hobby and I never lost interest in the game, I just fooled around too much. I did not ...

Re: so basically leela zero has made 0 progress in the last

The new 40x256 nets are all way stronger. For example the net #157 got demolished by an inofficial net called 1fdfb1c5 (trained by bjiyxo) as you can see here in the first line:

m

This inoffical net got a 337 : 63 (84.25%) result against #157. And the current 40x256 nets are stronger than this ...

Just saw this in the german dgob forum:

Re: nothing fancy

Wow it has been too long. In the tournament I was writing about I played 2:3. As far as I remember I lost two games where I was clearly ahead but slacked of because I thought there was no way that I would loose...

This weekend I played in another tournament and it was a total disaster. First game I ...

nothing fancy

Hey guys this will be my study journal. Don't expect anything fancy. I will write about my goals and how I plan to accomplish them. The main purpose of this journal is to motivate myself and to track my progress. From time to time I might write about how I like certain books or videos.

About me ...
