Please tell me, how many go books do you read, and how does it relate to your go skill? Is it possible to improve by reading a lot even if you don't play that much?

I know that playing is the best way to improve, but I want your opinion and personal experience on the mater of books.

For my part, I played a LOT of games on Igowin (a free windows 9x9 program) then moved to 19x19 directly. I almost never go back to 9x9 but sometimes play 13x13 for quick games.

I understand that. My question is regarding the automatic Komi and the fact that it has been set to 6.5 for white instead of a reverse komi. Doesn't "automatic komi" sets the komi according to the strength difference between the opponents?

Having also a mac running on Mavericks, I can say that monday the client worked fine. Did not try after that, and now I'm away from that computer, so I can't test.

I mainly use the one included in KGS. Sente:Goban is 10$ and can edit, but I find it a pain to use but graphics are better than KGS. I just tried GoWrite, and ... well... I find it ugly but usable. If anyone have anything better than that, I would also be glad to know.
