But I see why replaying with correct move order is important. I'm open to solutions.
My two cents on a simple solution. Perhaps when you configure a new engine you could have a simple toggle that configures strict ordering. You can enable strict ordering for engines that need it and leave it off ...

Re: qianyilong's journey of adventure
woohoo. So I did end up making 9k by the end of the year. I squeaked in and may lose it but I will count it.
Hoping that this year I can make it to 5k or so. Planning on doing some regular tsumego(maybe using the life and death encyclopedia as suggested above).

Re: Sabaki SGF editor
Does anyone know if it has the ability to use engines over ssh?
That is one thing that I really like about gogui, the engine config lets you pass it a command that you can use to ssh into a gtp program running on another machine.

I wonder what the full CUDA requirements are.
3.5 Is what I believe the required cuda compute capability is.

Re: qianyilong's journey of adventure
Well I have been lame and not made much progress recently.
I have bounced around from 14k-12k and currently sit at 12k on OGS. One thing that I have noticed though is that my correspondence is much better than my live game playing.

Re: Google's AlphaGo defeats Fan Hui 2p, 19x19, no handi, 5-
So I would NOT expect this breakthrough to affect go programs on our home machines any time soon (if ever). Current development on our small machines is for using less power while retaining adequate crunch to get the job done (the jobs that they are asked to do). Not toward developing more crunch ...

Re: Google's AlphaGo defeats Fan Hui 2p, 19x19, no handi, 5-
They didn't seem to be using cuda to distribute things(may have used it in running the neural nets though). The GPU's mostly seemed to be used to run the neural networks asynchronously while the CPU is doing the rollout. Since the networks results are used in the rollout they need to get those ...

Also interesting is that no opening book was used. Previously my understanding is all the other computer go attempts have an opening book.

qianyilong's journey of adventure
So I am a fairly new/poor go player and I really am just looking to improve my understanding and enjoyment of the game.
I am currently 14kyu on OGS although i think that rank might be lagging a bit as recent games I think I may be more 13-12ish.
I am working full time and going to school part time ...
