Re: Another 9x9 review request
I'd say the biggest mistake was the tenuki at
which allowed your left group to be killed. If you had kept that alive there's a good chance you would have won on territory. You would have also had the potential cut at D5 that could have been quite devastating for Black.

Re: The mistakes I make
Thankyou. I hadn't thought of
C12. Yes it would have saved that rather painful attack that came there later on. So it seems in this game I neglected the Corner, Sides, Centre rule in a number of places. I will make an effort to keep this in mind in my next few games.

Re: The mistakes I make
Another game. This time I don't really think I made any major mistakes, but I think through a series of playing small moves I just lost the vital points, primarily in the opening.
I do need to focus on my opening more..

Re: The mistakes I make
Thanks for the comments.I think the general gist I get from them is I could have been a bit more aggressive and put a bit more pressure on my opponent. Also it seems I often fail to see what the biggest point on the board actually is.

Re: The mistakes I make
Another game. This time a victory. I made some embarrassing mistakes, but I think by concentrating on playing the largest move rather than just following my opponent around I was able to make up for them.
I really do need to work on my reading though..

Re: Slow play especially in endgame results in lost game on
You could try playing on Pandanet. I find the Canadian time system used there to be much more relaxing.
Or pull out a real board and play in meat space where you can both agree to not worrying about time controls.

You are absolutely right. I've just sat here for the past 5 minutes trying to see what variations I was going through that made me think I couldn't play this, but I can't see it now...EdLee wrote: Would it ?
Thanks Bill. I wish I could get these reviews before I played the game!

Hi mongus,
What was the time control ? Blitz ?
Oh dear. No this is on DGS. I think it was 10 days. I had plenty of time to think over my moves. (but in my defense I play a lot whilst at work when technically I am supposed to be concentrating on other matters...)

A crushing defeat. I played shamefully, leaving far too many weaknesses behind..

Re: The mistakes I make
It's been a while since I have posted. Life kinda got in the way. My Go has been suffering so I think it is time to start studying seriously again. Especially now I am starting to get close to SDK territory the opposition is getting really tough.

Re: Reason To Quit Playing Go
I think about quitting pretty often. There is definitely a love hate thing with Go for me. If I suffer a painful loss it does seem to really affect my peace of mind.
