Not much of a threat. Use a goban (side or angle first), or a full goke as a projectile weapon.

Re:

Ed,
(For beginners.) dabird's reasoning is correct.
Thanks for these regular pointers, I really appreciate both the tips and the highlights.
As a matter of fact I especially seek out the not-yet-dan-or-almost Malkovich games because for example in Kirby's and magicwand's games after a ...

Why is it reasonable that different associations pay different amounts?

Because an association with 50 members has differents needs (possibly more) and means (probably less) than an association with 10000 members?

Re: Malkovich registration - sign up here to play

I think that you have a point in that the date might be an identifier that is easier to maintain correctly. "125" has little meaning. "06072011" has little meaning, too, but at least it's easy to generate.

Actually every IT guy (and a lot of others, too) would tell you to reverse the order and ...

Well, if you are going to use it often for a long time make it well.
A quick google should find you foam bags like Instapak or something similar http://www.sealedairprotects.com/NA/EN/products/foam_packaging/instapak.aspx .
Basically these are bags you place around your content and ...

Nice, thank you.
For these Malkovich games I go through the whole thing, open every HIDE tag, and print it on PDF and then paper for offline perusal, so be certain I'll study those ...

Ed, Topazg,

this game and the comments were really nice.
I think I won't be the only one glad of seeing another Malkovich like this. Whenever you both will be able to afford the time, of course.

People say that emotions are not a part of go, but…

As a humble long-year beginner I've always read that as emotions should not be a part of go, learn to play with brain ONLY not heart: play the board not the player, don't be greedy, don't throw good stones after bad (because you are still ...

Re: 105: emerus (3k) vs Mnemonic (8k)

emerus, I prefer diagrams. It's difficult to make sure I see all the variations in an sgf, and the possibility of missing one is annoying.

Also, with diagrams from time to time you can go and open all the hide Tags, print the whole thing to PDF for archival or for paper and old fashoned perusal ...

I drop 2-3 stones at "mickey mouse" tournament time controls. :-?

From a humble not-really-15k:

The comments on this game are really nice. Both because many comments are really of the kind "strategy, how I am thinking ", not only of the local-variation-searching-for-a-good-result kind, and because for now the variations are more ore less easy and I can actually ...

@Violence

Tenuki is the only option here.

The mentality here is to realize that you dun goofed, plain and simple. You might be able to utilize the aji of the stones... later... but right now, he's just helping white for an inferior exchange.
