Yep, I live in the Triad, and I can confirm that the Winston Salem/Greensboro/High Point area doesn't have a stable club yet. The closest one is just as hyperpape says — about 1.5 hours east of Greensboro. I haven't made it out there yet.
Maybe one day we can gather enough players locally...

... all three of those sound good?
I tend to base my reading on what level of energy I have. Low energy something more enjoyable like historical games or commentary, high energy for new theory or tactics.

Quick update:
Recent scheduling changes have made it even more difficult to find time for full-length games, so my progress has slowed to a crawl. I've recently only had time for correspondence games, tsumego, and a bit of reading.

I'm a little too weak to be of much statistical value to your survey (3 months of playing of mostly correspondence games, 25 to 20kyu), but I'm interested to see the results!

Re: Brilliant long ijime sequence
This is a fascinating game. Normally at my level (being so low) such aggression is thoughtless and without a plan. I'm extremely confident that Nobuaki had a plan, but what level was calculated and what level was emergent over those first 80 moves?

I never seriously considered learning Chinese or Japanese before learning to play Go -- but since then there's been several occasions where I'm disappointed I can't understand either language!
Maybe one day...
Thanks to everyone who helps out with this effort!

Re: recently played at national go center
I didn't know we had a National Go Center. That's pretty cool.
Is it NATIONAL national (like affiliated with the government) or more of a club/facility that's in our nation's capital?

I realized I never uploaded the 5x5. I found the small size to be helpful when explaining the rules and for little ones to play with. It makes the games VERY quick, and Black has a huge advantage going first.

Printable (Paper) Gobans
I created these PDFs to full size (according to m) so that I could easily print and play several games with friends, coworkers and family.

I had not heard of this before.

That's neat. I had no clue what the balloon was until they said so.
Now we just need them to film someone aggressively placing a stone!
