I imagine that the easiest way to have it not show the next move in a game record is to wait to play the move currently lit ...

Re: Buying cheap equipment from Asia to Europe
I bought ten sets of 6brothers gear this year and had them shipped to the US. My hope was to keep some mid-range options available on our online baduk shop while I fix up some vintage boards from Japan (too cold to do that at the moment).
Overall it wasn't a bad price with surface shipping, coming ...

Re: Help choosing clamshell stones
Used stones are specialty of mine, and I resell refurbished sets at the BadukClub Store .
If you're looking at buying them new, then Kurokigoishi is a great source, as is Hyuga GoBoardStone .
Ebay is another option, and at the moment there's a killer deal on ebony bowls and size 31 snow-grade ...

Re: Help identifying japanese material
Oh, hi!
The bowls are probably Keyaki, but I think they could be Shiochi (ash). I have cleanup instructions here:
https://store.baduk.club/pages/care
The density of the lines in the clamshell points to Suwabute stones, yes.
The only thing that gives me pause is the comparison photos. Japanese ...

Re: Goban for sale/appraisal
It's a nice set. The board has some wear but it looks like she has:
17cm Shinkaya goban
XL Keyaki bowls
Size 34ish Slate & Shell
I'd say $500-$700ish, plus shipping, would be a good price.
There's an inscription on the underside of the board, so it may be worth it to send that image to reddit.com ...

Re: Refinishing go bowls
I think it depends on what kind of finish you want. I like a muted satin finish, so wax is good for that. I made my own Monkey Wax which is just beeswax and pure linseed, with turpentine which helps with some discoloration and water spots. The linseed also polymerizes as it cures inside the wood so ...

At 400 million readouts, it wasn't the best move. But at 600 million it was. Bonkers.
