Those are both very interesting links! Thank you for pointing them out to me. I think there is a wealth of historical information about the various ways Go has been played over time. That is not really my area of interest ...

I found dailyjoseki.com to be useful for variations. A good site, but the original poster (grid) seems to be referring to variations in rules , e.g., the go variants that luigi sometimes creates and posts here. Am I misunderstanding?

Any books about Go variants?

Are there any books entirely devoted to Go variants or variations? If not, (or even if there are) are there any books that come to mind with good sections on Go Variants?
