Recently discovered the existence of this book while reading a back issue of BGJ, it was a pleasant surprise as I thought I'd sniffed out all commented game collections books in english long ago (and read all the reviews available for them as well). Any L19rs read this book? Thoughts?

You might try Maeda Nobuaki's "Life and Death: Intermediate Level Problems". It's a pocket sized yellow book that only costs $8 at Slate and Shell

Thanks for the response. I have several books of tsumego here at home, enough to keep me busy for a long-long-time. Just curious were the collection were taken from. I've been enjoying going through WBaduski's tsumego collection while/between watching games there. The problem window is also handy for covering those pesky avatars. Anybody know where they (the problems) come from?

That's easy. "My Life and Games" by Yi Ch'ang-ho or Yi Se-tol or Gu Li or Kong Jie or Cho U or...

Any book of commented games on current players with a splash of event info would do though
