Recently discovered the existence of this book while reading a back issue of BGJ, it was a pleasant surprise as I thought I'd sniffed out all commented game collections books in english long ago (and read all the reviews available for them as well). Any L19rs read this book? Thoughts?

You might try Maeda Nobuaki's "Life and Death: Intermediate Level Problems". It's a pocket sized yellow book that only costs $8 at Slate and Shell

I bet all of these characteristics are true of 1-dan pros as well.
It would probably take an actual professional to tell us what really distinguishes 9ps from 5ps or 1ps.

Origin of WBaduk tsumego?
I've been enjoying going through WBaduski's tsumego collection while/between watching games there. The problem window is also handy for covering those pesky avatars. Anybody know where they (the problems) come from?
