Why stipulate wanting to err on the side of playing slow? Not that it's a problem, that's mostly what I like to do.

Also, I like those time settings. Want to play? (This is definitely not just because I lost ridiculously in an automatch against you ages ago).

I'm a little defensive because I may have lost a fight =_= But then my opponent gave up a ko and I played a small endgame tenuki instead of following up my ko ...

Just for the board being analysed, my intuition is G4 but on reflection I want to play Q2.

Do you have a sense of your tsumego interacting with your over-the-board decisions?

Yeah it's a shape there at least. Which cap? O15 seems like it would be bad shape. I think the jump is quite robust light shape. (Database search suggests tenuki or pincer or something instead normally, so my move is quite conservative).

I can understand not wanting to let white start a double approach, I think :b12: was a good place to play E16 (in what way is white's :w11: sente).

Yes, I got sidetracked with EdLee's suggestion sorry. The proverb *is* "save the cutting stones". During the game I was worried my stones would be thin and I had a potentially attackable dragon. Is this obviously not so?

On some level I appreciate that I played soft here somewhere, but I have a lot of trouble seeing it.

After :b57: black top is more secure as points. I thought :w56: was an overplay, though I think I missed playing good sente when I tenukied to top left.

So my question is, in this case was it safer to attack white on the right v. building top and reducing left? I suspect both white and I were counting ourselves ahead around this point.

The reason I never saved N10 was that I wanted to secure a big top like white already had a big left. My original plan for :b63: was to split the still kind of unsettled top right, potentially heavy right and hopefully bottom right. I got cold feet because if somehow the fight went well for white ...
