I'm on the west coast, and tend to stay up late, so I'm GMT -8 or -9. Fwiffo is east coast( -5) , and I think that Kirby is central(-6). KirkMc is something around +1 or +2. That seems rather well distributed.

The current problems arise from depending on single-source software that we don't control. If Don doesn't cooperate, we were screwed. Now we are considering depending on Flash, which is another closed and single-source piece of software that we don't control.

Any encoding will do for experimenting. I just need a character that fills the whole character block, then using different colors, a board should be easy.
