After a long vacation I am finally moving back to Chicago to finish my degree among other things.

Anyone here from the area and know anything about the activity of clubs in Chicago? I'd really like to get involved in a club in the city so i break out of my KGS shell a bit more.

Also it'd be cool to make some new friends.

=)

On the AGA web site the page for clubs in Illinois lists at least four clubs in Chicago or its suburbs, including contact information: http://www.usgo.org/cgi-bin/chapters.cg ... IL#listing

I run the Schaumburg go club. The Lakeview and Evanston clubs are both relatively easy to get to from the city. All are active. Let me know if you want more detail.

The university of Chicago also allegedly has a go club, although both times I tried to attend I couldn't find them.

I'm going to be going to UIC for school and wasnt able to find any info about. Go club there.

Its good to know that all there of the clubs are still active since I don't know what my schedule is going to be like until i register for classes.

Looking forward to finally being able to play at a club. Shouldcmakecfor a good change of pace from KGS.

The University of Chicago go club is quite new, but it has been very active this year. We meet Monday and Thursday night from 7-9pm in Hutchinson commons (the southwest corner of 57th and University). We will not be meeting for the next two weeks because of exams and Spring Break, but the club will start again for the Spring Quarter on March 28.

Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
