About a decade ago I read a book about game theory * Thinking Strategically: The Competitive Edge in Business, Politics, and Everyday Life by Avinash K. Dixit & Barry J. Nalebuff then again an updated version laste year * The Art of Strategy: A Game Theorist's Guide to Success in Business and Life by Avinash K. Dixit & Barry J. Nalebuff On the hardcover version of The Art of Strategy there is a picture of Barry J. Nalebuff with a go set, he (properly) hold a stone. Same one as on amazon.com page http://www.amazon.com/Art-Strategy-Theo ... pd_sim_b_1 scroll down and you'll see it under More about the Authors But the puzzling thing is that Go is not mentioned at all (but chess is). Why would someone have a Go picture on the cover, but not mention it in a book? |

If you look closely, he's holding it between the correct fingers, but not at the right angle. (Or at least, I've always held the stone parallel-ish to my nails, and he's holding it perpendicular, which I imagine would make it rather difficult to place on the board. But maybe lots of people play this way?) |
