Our club just bought some Excalibur Game Time II clocks and we are having trouble resetting the clocks for a new game. The manual says to turn the clock off and then back on. This doesnt reset. Also we tried taking the batteries out and that didnt clear the settings or reset the time. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: NOTE: the reset function works in every setting except the "user defined" settings (u1 to u5). That is our problem. Cant reset in u1 to u5.

Removing the batteries resets the custom time settings (u1 to u5). Try removing them for a few minutes. Unexpectedly, if you remove them just for a few seconds, time settings may last till you insert the batteries again.
Turning it on and off doesn't reset the time settings but allows you to restart the clock.

I usually leave it without batteries and custom time settings are always erased. I only leave it with batteries when I hope to play a game in a few days...

I've also got an Excalibur clock, still working since 2007.

We don't want to "factory reset" the u1 to u5 settings on the clock, just start a new game (soft reset?). Any ideas?

EDIT - We tried taking the batteries out for 5 minutes and they U1 thru U5 settings still show the prior game data.

If I want to start a new game, switching ON/OFF resets the time to its initial value... If that doesn't work, it's weird, it may be a malfunction of your device
