Hey guys, Do any of you have a good source on the taisha joseki ? Especialy on the hamete moves in this joseki (not bad resulting trick play) ? I'm intrested in learning this for fun. Not that I'm probably going to improve a lot from it but it looks like a very agressive fighting joseki. Totaly my style ![]() I found some basic references to it but nothing very deep. Thanks! Have you seen dailyjoseki.com ? It's a database study tool that quizzes you based on professional games with joseki. It's a good way to study joseki I think. |

This probably better suited to another subforum. The taisha and trickplays are not really a beginner subject. Probably should be in Study Group. As for the subject, I don't know much more about it than what's on Sensei's, but I think there should still be a lot of literature elsewhere. |

@emeraldemon: thanks for the tip, howhever dailyjoseki does not really tell you more about certain moves. It juste shows th different probability. I'm looking more for something with explanation about why certain moves are required. I want to understand the joseki and hamete moves. @Phelan: Sorry for putting it in the wrong forum. (how can I fix this ?) I thought that any question that comes out of a EGF ddk is still a beginner question so I posted it here ![]() Thanks, Otenki |

http://eidogo.com/ (using Kogo's joseki dictionary) has some per-move information The sequence to get there is selecting points: 4,a,i |

I thought that any question that comes out of a EGF ddk is still a beginner question so I posted it here I'd wait until one of the admins stumbles upon it and moves it, or ask one of them directly by PM. It's not a big problem, though, I mostly posted to warn other beginners that it might be an advanced topic.
