Pedantry warning! I thought that it was the Prime Minister Cup?

Best wishes.

I am going myself :) Actually I decided to try to train properly for the event.
1 game every day at the same time limits, with review. How long will I keep that up for :)

Good luck at the event! I am slightly jealous... Still, have fun.

Korea Prime Minister Cup I think?

The AGA website claims the representative is the top placing American citizen in that year's US Open. Of course that person must want to compete--it looks they've had to go down a few places in the past. But that would suggest Jie Liang or Curtis Tang (I think Eric Lui is ineligible as the previous WAGC representative).

Anyway, glad to see there's such strong reps from Ukraine and Russia. Perhaps we'll see them crack the top four.

They did in 2008, at least.

As far as I am informed, it covers the plane ticket.

Post subject:  Re: Korean Prime Minister's Cup

Well, when I went, they paid for the plane ticket and provided transport from Incheon Airport to the event and paid for a bus to Seoul afterwards. Food and accommodation were free.

Best wishes.

A few european players:
Piers Shepperson (UK) - 1 time UK champion back in the 80s, poker rounder
Fred Blomback (SE) Pavol Lisy (SK), Juri Kuronen (FI) rising stars

Ali Jabarin (IS) FJ Dickhut (DE) Artem (UA) Cornel Burzo (RO) Ondrej Silt (CZ) strong players

Many others obviously, but too long to type all

It's also available in English.

There seems to be something funny going on with Russia and UK. Is it Shiksin or Lazarev? And why is the UK player not grouped with other European players?

Very strange. But Dinerchtein said it would be Ilya, that's his picture (which they'd have to take their or be provided by Russia/Ilya), so I'm going to guess it's him and not Lazarev.
