No I'm not talking about 1960 when Fujisawa Hideyuki took game 1 to (briefly) lead Takagawa in the 15th Honinbo. Rather that Fujisawa Rina, Hideyuki's granddaughter, now leads Mukai Chiaki 2-0 in the 33rd Ladies Honinbo after winning game 2 on Friday. From the picture it looks like Michael Redmond may have been the referee.

Rina-sensei is no longer the flighty 15-year-old who captured the Aidu Cup in June. She celebrated her 16th birthday in September. Game 3 is scheduled for November 7th.
