@jlt: Sure. But you're preventing White from getting... 5 points? If you manage to get those yourself, it's a 10 point difference, locally, in exchange for a center facing wall, pretty low (with holes, granted), and a pretty nice space between the 12th and 16th lines. @Uberdude: c10 jump... do you mean c12? As I see it, W54@D9 gets it the SW corner, a connection with the Northern wall, and center influence. Black can pick some details (reduce towards North or South? defects on the wall?), but that much's a given. Take care. |

As Uberdude said,  at C11 is almost equally good, for us amateurs it doesn't make a difference.In the variation showed by Yeonwoo, Black takes a few points from White, and White gets a wall facing the center. If at C11, then White keeps a larger corner and* either Black takes a few points from White around B12 and White gets a wall facing the center * or Black gets a weak group that White can attack for profit. Difficult for us to judge which alternative is best. |

That was a great game by Shin. It seems the only real mistake Ke made was on the upper left where he didn't choose to go for a ko, but Shin capitalized and maintained the lead all the way to the end. |
