I was really hoping to buy 15 Cups of Nongshim Noodles and write names on each of them and eat them daily as they got eliminated, but, stuff happened and I was too slow, here we are.

It looks like Shin Minjun played the second game -- gotoeveryone says so! I can't tell if it was him in the youtube video you have linked https://youtu.be/oV_xNtfERTA?t=3165

I'm going to do so when the second round starts, eating the four cups of this round the day before the second one begins! It's a long-term thing. For those who haven't played yet, those exact Cups shall stay as they are until February. Next year I'll start earlier and buy the Cups as the results of the preliminaries are announced! And so it shall be. Once I make random silly traditions I stick to them!

I ALWAYS mix them up for some reason when I look at them! But it even says in Korean on the video 신민준, how did I miss that. Man I'm not the sharpest tool in the box anymore, hahaha  Maybe it's also because he lost and I wasn't expecting that considering the form he was in so I just assumed it was Byung Sangil.

It's back on!

Last night Shibano (hailing from Japan) played with Kang Dongyun (hailing from Korea) and it was streamed on the Nihon Kiin youtube channle (in Japanese).

The winner was - SPOILER ALERT -
Kang Dongyun

The next game is already tonight.

Can someone clarify what happened in the Nongshim cup?

There is discussion of the position that occurred in the 6th game in another thread. Somehow, I got the impression that the game was to be replayed but the 7th game was already played and it featured Kang Dongyun (again) for South Korea and Yu Zhengqi for Japan.

The winner was - SPOILER ALERT - also see the linked stream.
It was a half pointer!

Kang Dongyun

I have many questions: Was there a rematch, was there ever going to be a rematch, did anyone say there was to be rematch, why did I think there was going to be a rematch, and did anyone else think there would be a rematch?

The rematch was played just after the draw, with only the remaining time (1 min for one move for each player). Kang won the rematch relatively easily, before the midnight.

I see, the rematch was played with only the 60s overtime.

The second leg of the Nongshim cup was concluded while we were busy disputing if it was a dispute in the 6th round and it appears Iyama is the last man standing in the Japanese team.
