Ueno Asami has reached the 3rd round of the 2nd Quzhou Lanke International Cup, the best international performance by a Japanese woman ever, surely. She did it by beating two men, Korean Pak Min-kyu 8-dan and Chinese (former LG Cup winner) Xie Erhao. But it doesn't stop there! Iyama Yuta also got to round 3, though by a slightly easier route. When was the last time he won two international games in a row? Golden Week has officially begun a few days early in Japan this year ![]() |
