It's probable that many of you will have seen this video, but just in case I would like to post the link here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=012mgBzCLnI The game is from the 45th NHK Cup (1998), and features Fujisawa Hideyuki against Yugawa Mitsuhisa, with commentary from the one-and-only Takemiya Masaki. I don't want to spoil the pleasure for those who have yet to see it, but I will say that the game is full of beautiful moves and will keep you in suspense to the very end. |

Yes, a beautiful game. People might be interested to know that Takemiya's assistant in the commentary is Umezawa Yukari (1-dan then) of Hikaru no Go fame. And the time keeper is Kobayashi Izumi, daughter of Kobayashi Koichi and wife of Cho U. |

I was amused by how easy it is to follow Go commentary in a foreign language. (-Ko desu ka? -Ko desu. -Sou desu ne.) Great game, thanks for posting. One question about the game: |

Thanks Tami! Shuko sensei's perception of the key points in the middle game was, as always, impressive. |

I particularly enjoyed Takemiya's response to move 113 - 'kakou ii!' ('So cool!') |
