Is there a free way of knowing the moves in a professional game more or less the moment they are played?

If I decided to upload a game to a server that then sends each move to a phone app, for the fans who want to know what's happening the moment it happens, would there be a free way of doing that?

Or are the sgfs distributed when the game's already over and even then only for certain games or behind paywalls.

check out any Asian go server.

my favourite is IGS, as it has an English speaking community, so I understand the kibitz. but it broadcasts only occasionaly, big Japanese events.

i also use WBaduk, it has way more games, but no one i could chat with.

third name that immediately comes to my mind is Tygem. however, i never tried it.

as for uploading the game elsewhere, that is effectively a rebroadcasting and it is not a nice practice towards the original broadcasters, so the server's admins generally discourage/prohibit that (for example if transcribing an IGS game to KGS, the KGS mods will tell you to stop)

after the game is finished, the sgf is freely distributable and freely distributed. see gokifu.com or igokisen.web.fc2.com

Tygem relays games from professional Korean and International tournaments very often. Trout usually posts schedules of upcoming events (e.g. the Samsung Cup), and I believe L19x19 maintains a calendar of professional events; so check there for dates. The games usually begin around 9 or 10AM Seoul time.

wbaduk has all the major games live from China, Japan, and Korea. My main problem is the time difference.
