Pretty subtle change (from "0 new message" to "1 new message"), especially for something like a PM where it can be important at times. Maybe a pop-up similar to how GD did it perhaps? |

No popups, please. I don't know whether it is difficult to modify phpBB, but Wikipedia does a fairly nice job of informing users that there are messages in the talk page by displaying a conspicuous top banner, but only once. |
