So it's been awhile since I've studied go, and I'd kind of like to spice things up a little bit. Usually around this time, I'd try to start doing some go problems to get back into the swing of things, and then ease into some games... But I was trying to think up something that might be fun on to do on the forum to do because... Well, there aren't many go players around where I live, and I thought it'd be fun to do something "social"... So I propose the following "game": I would like for someone (preferably SDK or stronger) to be my go problem study partner here on the forum. The rules are, to be my partner, every other day, find 5 go problems to post for me to solve. I will do my best to solve them throughout the day and respond within 24 hours (using hide tags to post my solution in case others want to solve). Likewise, on the days that you do not post go problems, I will post 5 go problems for you to solve, and you have 24 hours to respond. Other "non-partner" people are free to try to solve the problems, but if you do, please put your solution in "hide" tags. To make this a competitive venture, the first one of us (me or my partner), who fails to solve the 5 go problems within 48 hours (while the desired time limit is within 24 hours) loses this game. Note: While this is a game, the real intention is for study. So if you do choose to play this game with me, please don't pick problems that are above the low dan difficulty level. For example, if you put a bunch of pro-level problems out from the onset, I'll lose immediately, and it's no fun for anybody. Likewise, I'll try to pick problems for my partner that I can also solve. --- Sound fun? Does anybody want to be my partner in this game? |
