I would play at :w1: . Then, after Black protects, the points 'a' and 'b' look appetizing.

i agree with above but a and b is not urgent.
see below sequence i expect. i think white need to play 5 to stop invasion at a

:w1: seems necessary, to preserve the usefulness of the two stones to the left.

I would be tempted to continue with :w3: directly in the diagram below to probe B response. If B defends as shown below, W gets to make a nice framework, and the B corner still has cutting points. I do not think B can invade at (a) after this sequence.

If B counter-attacks as in the diagram below, W can handle the fight. While B runs with the cutting stones and lives in the corner, W should be able to make territory and protect the weakness at (a).

:w3: in the diagram below is a huge point for both sides, but I think the unsettled upper left situation takes precedence. If B gets a chance to invade first, the two W stones to the left could turn from strength into weakness.

The sgf file got corrupted somehow. :( So I had to create a diagram showing the rest of the game. White played an interesting tesuji that wins her the game. I have decided to show that tesujii in board diagram.

Also, Mitsun, you were correct.

After white nine, black connects, and then white played R17, at which point black resigns.
