Bill, why low instead of high? I liked high because I thought the game would develop into large scale fighting. |

Of course, reading through the thread now,it seems that my response is not the best overall, because it doesn't answer the general board situation. I like Koroviev and Bill's replies. |

The thing about the left side is that locally, if white gets another move there, they just turn into standard 5-3 or 5-4 joseki, where black can expect to get more than in a tenuki joseki. |
