Hi, here's something that happened in my last game, where I was playing black :

[go]$$Wc
$$ ------------+
$$ O . . . . . |
$$ O . X . . . |
$$ O . X . . . |
$$ . O X . W . |
$$ O . O X . . |
$$ X O O X X X |
$$ O O X X O O |
$$ X O X O . O |
$$ O . O O O O |[/go]

I found this, black lives but white connects :

[go]$$Bc
$$ ------------+
$$ O . 6 . . . |
$$ O . X 4 2 . |
$$ O . X . 3 . |
$$ . O X 1 O 5 |
$$ O . O X 7 . |
$$ X O O X X X |
$$ O O X X O O |
$$ X O X O . O |
$$ O . O O O O |[/go]

Is there anything better for black ?

Is there a stone at S15 or not? The diagrams are conflicting there.

Assuming the first diagram is correct, what about:

[go]$$Bc
$$ ------------+
$$ O . 3 . . . |
$$ O . X . 2 . |
$$ O . X . . . |
$$ . O X 1 O . |
$$ O . O X . . |
$$ X O O X X X |
$$ O O X X O O |
$$ X O X O . O |
$$ O . O O O O |[/go]

Your diagrams don't fit together. S15 differs.
Why not 5 at R19? Assuming Diagram 2 is correct

Sorry for the diagram mismatch, S15 is here, but only as the last play. I edited.

Reading calmly, I think black wins the semeai. It looked too dangerous in game.

Hi Lorill ;)

Have you read enough ? because thinking of and beeing sure is quite different :D

Edit : I think black can get seki at best (white connect his 2 stones and has enough liberties to create a seki). But is there a way for white to kill black... i'm not sure.
