One suggestion is to ask for help on KGS Teaching Ladder and the Life in 19x19 room on KGS. Many people might help there.

I know that but I play better in real life and rather learn in real life then on a computer all day being taught

in this day and age if you want to get better you'll have to get over that problem
just play slower games online and try to read out more

also, the fact that all your games can be stored online is helpful for both self review and bringing the game to a teacher

Being able to play equally well over the computer and over the board is worth working on. Many more stronger players and teachers are going to be available online than within driving range in Ohio.

I know what you mean about playing in person. There's just nothing else like it.

There ought to be some players near Cincinnati I suspect.
Here's some AGA listings (hopefully some of them are up-to-date)

6k in 5 months is rapid progress. It is normal to slow down. :)

I would strongly suggest getting a pro teacher, even if it won't be face to face. Sure, amateur dans know a lot more than you, but can easily impede your progress. (If you had been playing for two years, that would be a different matter.) One lesson per month should be good enough, if price is an object.

Good luck!
