The covers of Slate & Shell books seem to elicit some negative comments. I haven't seen this about the books of other publishers. What go books would you say have really good covers? |

Go proverbs illustrated: http://www.flickr.com/photos/imabuddha/2470760049/ Basic Techniques of Go: http://senseis.xmp.net/?BasicTechniquesOfGo the get strong at Go series: http://senseis.xmp.net/?path=GetStrongA ... TheOpening or all about life and death: http://www.amazon.com/All-About-Life-De ... 4871870421 all have what I consider to be excellent covers. Slate and Shell covers look like they were done for free/by an amateur but S&S are publishing lots of new books right now so I'm not complaining! |

Invincible. The only Go book I'd want to have just because it looks good on a shelf. (Hardcover, of course.) |

I kind of like the minimalist cover design of Slate & Shell's "Master Play" series. On the other hand, the cover designs of the "Get Strong at.." series are bit off putting. I'm certain this wouldn't be a factor in my purchasing books from either series though. Of the English go books available (think I've seen them all) the cover art/design I found most appealing was this one: |
