Takemiya is famous for his unique style, the so-called cosmic style, which focuses on the centre and plays with very very large territorial frameworks.

In Japan, there are many books presenting his games. The one standing out of the mass is "Takemiya Masaki no uchuryu no gokui", published by NHK in 1993. This book was first available to western Go players in French only, famous as "Le Go cosmique". After being out of print for a long time it has just recently been reprinted in the beginning of this year.

Now, finally, there is also an English edition available with the simple title "Cosmic Go".

(available for order in any book store or online shop)

Even if this book may not be up to date with modern developments of opening and middle game, Takemiyas ideas about natural development are still inspiring many players.
