Game 4 (self-play, New Zealand rules, 7 komi) featured four dragons duking it out in the center. One side sacrifices eighteen stones and ends up winning the game by 72 points or so. New title holder of "shortest game in this thread" https://online-go.com/demo/view/448780 .sgf file:

Game 5 is our newest winner of "shortest game in the thread so far": W+20 or so. https://online-go.com/demo/view/448967 At some point, I'll split a game at a instead of M5: .sgf file:

Game 6 is our newest- you guys get the gist by now. How short can these games get? Hopeless for black at move 184. White seems to be up by 16 - 18 points. https://online-go.com/demo/view/450285 .sgf file:

Game 2 in particular is now chock-full of endgame sequences that can only be described as elaborate. .sgf file with comments: In other news, KataGo (NZ rules, 7 komi) self-play game 7, which is currently under way, will introduce 3-4 points into the fuseki. EDIT: Added .sgf embeds for all KataGo NZ self-play games in this thread.

Can you say messy and complicated? If you can, that means you're equipped to describe game 9 (NZ rules, 7 komi). Half of the board turns into a giant semeai, and white wins by 76 points or so. https://online-go.com/review/456124 .sgf:

Game 10 (NZ rules, 7 komi) was the first close game since the tie in game 3, white by 2 points it looks like. Peaceful game with huge territories on either side. Quite pleasing-looking to this 11k human https://online-go.com/demo/view/456362 .sgf:

Game 11 (NZ rules, 7 komi) is back to messy and complicated. Very alien-looking to me. Black by 10 points or so. https://online-go.com/review/457391 .sgf:

Game 12 (NZ rules, 7 komi) is probably my favourite game in this thread so far. The fuseki looks like drunk humans playing, and after that it's just one breathtaking magic trick after another - to end in only our second tie so far. Beautiful game. https://online-go.com/review/458154 .sgf:

Game 13 (NZ rules, 7 komi) ends up with huge territories on both sides, yet very close (looks like white by 2 points). https://online-go.com/review/459574 .sgf:

Game 14 (NZ rules, 7 komi) was a complicated game with small territories and a confusing endgame that ended up as our third tie. https://online-go.com/review/460430 Our current tally: 4 black wins, 3 ties, 7 white wins. .sgf:

KataGo continuing from an AlphaGo Teach position, game 11: Black not only goes for vast amounts of influence, but actually uses it to build a giant center territory. White takes three and a half corners and wins by 2.5 points or so. https://online-go.com/review/441359 .sgf:

Game 15 (NZ rules, 7 komi) was another complicated game. A lot of small groups, including an early-game seki. The winrate stayed even throughout until black crashed at move 225. https://online-go.com/review/465809 .sgf:

Game 16 (NZ rules, 7 komi) sees black going for max influence and building a giant center moyo. White grabs a huge bottom, sacrifices a group of 20 stones in exchange for the privilege to linearly reduce black's moyo to nothing, and wins by 10 points or so. https://online-go.com/review/466797 .sgf:

Game 17 (NZ rules, 7 komi) starts out complicated, but then everything settles at once and the rest is endgame. White ends up with three corners, but black wins by 2 points or so. https://online-go.com/review/467380 .sgf:

Game 18 (NZ rules, 7 komi) was maybe the weirdest game in this thread so far. I won't pretend to understand anything that happened here. Can someone get Michael Redmond on the line? https://online-go.com/review/469244 .sgf:

Game 19 (NZ rules, 7 komi) starts off with a complicated fight on the lower side. As it sprawls out, it looks more like a game of tetris or battleship than a game of go. White wins by 8 points or so. https://online-go.com/demo/view/494668 .sgf:
