Hey a while back i got smart go for the pc. now in a nut shell i have no idea to how to use it. i mainly used it for replaying pro games. But i am at a loss for what i want to do with it. Simply put, i would like to play a moc game and as im playing the game see the "best move" / joseki while i am playing it. |

You can create an empty board and select fuseki mode or joseki mode. As you play it will show you most common follow up moves and the winning percentage rate. Then you can go to matching tab and see games that followed what you have entered. For joseki mode, it's often useful to sort by move number in the matching tab so you can see games that played that joseki earlier in the game. |

see http://www.smartgo.com/en/layout.htm and http://www.smartgo.com/en/common.htm#joseki in short you have to have the tools available the tools symbol must be pressed. then you will hava a list of tools. in here the pattern maching symbol must be pressed (looks like a black 44 point with 2 white kakari's) and then press the fuseki or joseki matching button (looks like a go board) if all works fine: magic Capital letters appear on the board. -> go to tab Matching to look for the games ENJOY |

Hi, you may want to take a look at these 3 videos: http://www.alejostenuki.com/blog/51-smartgo-2-7-1.html Actually, you'll see it's a 26-minutes long review/tutorial... so I quite convinced it used to cover all Smartgo's features by then. |
