This beautiful board was a nice catch from eBay. I removed the cloth squares to find square holes for feet, pegs, or legs.

You might be able to get replacement legs from Kuroki Goishiten. They have a page on repairs and cleaning on their website.

True that.

I think I will end up whittling some little pegs that will raise the board above a table's surface. They'd be basically invisible.

David - your imgur page says you aren't sure if it's Japanese or Korean. I can't comment on the craftsmanship, but the wood can sometimes be a giveaway.

I have both hon Katsura from Japan and shin katsura from Korea. The hon Katsura seems much softer when slapping a stone down, to the point of almost muffling the sound. The shin katsura on the other hand is much harder.

I really wouldn’t know how to assess the species accurately. Sound only works if you have a known and reliable reference. The primary reason I cannot be sure about the country of origin is I had a lovely board from Korea from roughly the samE era, say, 1980-85, purchased from Sabaki Go Company, I think out of a Pittsburgh suburb. I bought it after answering an ad in a small press go newsletter, maybe from Pittsburgh.

https://senseis.xmp.net/?SabakiGoCompany (whatever happened to Quentin Dombro and Steve Beck?)

Deep google foo landed me on Quentin, living in the Seattle area, might still be playing at the SGC when they reopen after The MAdness.

Anyway, the board took me months to obtain because the boys never responded to phone calls or mail. It might have been katsura, might have been kaya, but I’m very sure it wasn’t agathis since those were always being imported with a yellow wash on the playing surface back then.
