My first goban. For no reason other than how much I like it. ![]() [edit:]The set is: - Shinkaya goban 3 cm thick, 45 x 42 cm, with milled lines and 13x13-board on the other side. - Yunzi stones biconvex, 8.3 x 21 mm - The bowls are jujube (date(-palm) wood thanks for the info, bonobo) - It comes with a strong carry bag for the bowls and I bought another one for the goban. I bought it in http://www.hebsacker-verlag.de/, suggested by Boidhre in another thread. |

Very nice! I really like the inlaid grid. Where did you pick it up? |

Very beautiful board! Those stones look very nice on it too. Are those double-convex Yunzi? What size (thickness)? |

Alguien, congrats. Pretty. Could you provide more details (where you purchased the set, the kind of wood/bamboo of the board, thickness of the board, kind and size of the stones, the kind of wood of the bowls, etc.) Also, would you like to put the photo inside Hide tags (for readability of thread)? ![]() Nice lighting and camera, too -- SONY DSLR-A700 v03 ![]() |

I'll admit to being jealous of your goban, but that doesn't mean I have anything to do with its imminent disappearance. |

If it is this set then the bowls are from date(-palm) wood. Lovely. Must. Have. Soon. |

Yes, it's almost impossible the bowls in the photo are from bamboo.I've looked for pictures of bamboo bowls and I see they are made of small pieces, not a single one. I don't even know if date wood is good for the bowls but I did like them being made from a single piece. They have really thick walls (1~2cm) close to the bottom. |

May I ask how long it took for you to get the board? If it's shipping from overseas I'd imagine something like two weeks or more. I wish YMI had boards like this. |

I bought it in Germany because I'm in Spain. I'd have probably used YMI otherwise, with it's free shipping to the US. (My thread about this is still fresh. ![]() It took 7 days (I bought it a friday afternoon and got it the next one). |
