All - this email went out to our list of chapter leaders which is not entirely up to date. If you lead an AGA chapter (whether it is currently active or not), please respond to the questions below if you did not receive the email. Send responses to president@usgo.org. Dear Chapter Leaders, There are some major changes coming to our AGA infrastructure that will bring significant new benefits to your chapters. Included in your chapter membership you will be able to have your own website, event calendar and management, emailing, payment processing of credit cards and more. Details on these changes and a newly designed AGA website will be forthcoming in the E-Journal and follow-up emails to this one over the next month. There is a lot of work to be done and a very important piece is that we have the latest accurate information about your chapter. Many of you have done a great job of keeping the current website updated with the latest information about your chapter, but there is a lot of information that is no longer accurate. Meeting times and locations have changed, someone new has taken over to lead the chapter, contact info is obsolete, or the chapter may no longer be functioning. If you could take the time over the next few days to answer the specific questions below it will be a huge help. Volunteers will also be reaching out to those not responding so a quick response will make best use of their time. Please send the response directly to me and they will be shared with the team getting the new system in place. We are excited about the changes taking place and believe you will be as well. As you respond, I would welcome your personal thoughts on AGA direction and ideas for improvement. Chapter information need: Chapter name Chapter member ID number in current system if you know it Chapter still functioning (yes, no - if no, skip the rest of the questions) Chapter leader (if this is someone new and not yourself, please send contact info for new leader, and skip the rest of the questions) Chapter contact phone Chapter contact email (a phone or email is required - these are the publicly displayed email and/or phone for how to contact the chapter. This is NOT the personal contact info of the chapter leader unless those are one and the same) Chapter website if there is one Address of your primary meeting place - country, address1, address 2, city, state, zip. This is NOT the chapter leader's address unless you want that shown as the meeting place (not recommended). If there is no primary meeting place, then give the city, state, and zip for the chapter. There will be a searchable map of chapters and at least a city and state are required if you want to be shown. Description - Text info typically describing meeting place, times, directions, etc. Have a wonderful holiday season.
