Could you show a variation (or 2, or however many you'd like) of what you mean by this corner ?

Good question, Ed. I believe he was worried about something along these lines:

Joel, you are not supposed to read comments in a Malkovich game that aren't directed at you. Ed quoted rev's hidden posts which contain his thinking, reading, plans etc. Seeing these gives you an unfair advantage. Or did you agree with rev to have an open game with no secrets? The usual Malkovich protocol is:
- players use hiddens to show their thoughts, don't read others unless invited
- kibitzers can read all hiddens, can address questions to players.
- kibitzers may unhide old posts no longer relevant to the game for players to read before the end

Rev and I have agreed in a private message for this game to be "open-book" if you will meaning that we are sharing comments. The only purpose for making our comments hidden is so that we can make our moves before seeing our opponent's last comment.

Are you reading observers' comments too?

Yes, but only after placing the current move.
