Magicwand is teaching me some go! We are having a 6 stone handicap game. For those who aren't familiar with me yet, I am a KGS 5 kyu, though I've been having some success on my fake 3 kyu account recently. I always play +/- 1 rank, so this is going to be doubly interesting for me. I recently lost this Malkovich game against Dfan by resignation. |

this is a teaching game. i will not hide my comment and i hope he doesnt hide his comment either. this play 1 is a move my master love to play against me when i was about 1d kgs. i hated it. whenever i had to give 6 stone i love to use this move. |

Magicwand, I am going to post "hide" sections, but you are welcome to read them. My reason is so that chains of thinking diagrams won't break up the flow of the game too much for observers. |

My thought is that long low approaches aren't particularly severe, and I already have a stone cutting or perhaps pressing down on white on the right side. I would like a sanrensei framework on top to help all my stones. Because R7 has to me the feeling of "Owing a move" I hope to still get K3 for myself also. |

comment: there is nothing wrong with a,b,c,d. they are all better than what he played. when you are ahead play every move simple. |

I've essentially been double approached, so I am escaping and aiming to keep white's stones divided. |

My sentiment is that not cutting here would feel slack. With P15 and K16 supporting, I think this crosscut will yield a better result for me. |

i am not sure if his move is correct. but i wouldn't have play as he did. if you are ahead you dont fight. you dont make it complicated. all he has to do was split my two group then he can not go wrong playing 6 stone. he is failing that basic concept now. |

The only move... Alright, over my next few moves I will strive to simplify the game! I will aim to settle my life in the corner before it gets too rough. |
