Okay I guessed 42, so I'll take B.
Take a look at this. Even in the beginning moves, they play paced. So I will try to play paced. |

It's my favorite opening. In fact, when I was in China and However, I don't think it has a name, probably because it isn't played much by professionals. Well regardless, I'll see if I can come up with a fun name...unless of course someone comes up with something. |

@Araban I'm trying to get a good name for this formation along the lines of nirensei falling off the board, but can't get it pithy enough to be good. |

There are special publishing accounts which can apply for. Back then it didn't take as much as it does now to get one (but once you had one, they don't take it away even if it doesn't fit the now higher standards). http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 419AA9PYzM |

I am certain that MW knows the intent behind why I chose this move. The right side will look flat, however if he agrees to my deal then he will give me sente to take the empty corner:
Of course, MW is a bit of a rebel so he will probably try to find a way to get sente. One way, of course, is to just not play ![]()
But I think this has better feelings for B. Another way of course, is:
But I don't think MW will play like this because it's rather unusual play and he probably isn't too comfortable with this kind of style. Anyways, we'll see. PS: Note how I completely disregarded another possibility for ![]() And oh, I love 'Moonwalk Nirensei' lol. |

i think upto this is one way street
below is also playable..but taking risk. i dont need to take any unnecessary risks..
edit: although what araban played is joseky...it is outdated joseky. professioals now refuse to play as he did.. i would suggest below joseky and sente upper left corner.

Good to see you guys at it again. ![]() This game will be most entertaining and instructive. ![]()
Having defused a Black approach on the bottom side with sente, White can occupy the fourth corner. ![]() |

i see that he wants to agitate me early... i really dont know any joesky for this... and i assume araban knows more variations than i do... so i decided to play a move that he is not familiar with. below is what my initial thought..but does that exchange really help me???
if black decided to play as below...it really dont help him any...

White 1 is weird. It gives Black a huge corner, bigger than it needs to be. It might not seem lik a huge different, but I think the more normal sequence...
...is better mainly because you can push Black down at A if you want, and his corner isn't quite as big. 3 is nice influence as well. This might seem lik a small difference though, I just think Black's shape is not as strong, and his corner not as big this way. |

I'm not sure if it's double or reverse sente, but basically this move is sente/if he had played here had I played elsewhere, it would be sente. It makes my corner bigger and fixes the shape. Now White must fix his shape by playing P5. White gets the outside, a strong shape; while Black gets the corner territory. It's a deal; Go is a game of deals. |
