If I play as above, white will try to get some power by attacking my lone stone. Magicwand said in an earlier game, "one stone is aji". So I could play this way and leave the stone as it is, for example... But why did I play a pincer stone to get attacked in the first place? If I want to attack, I can do so later.
Jumping up like this instead of protecting the corner might be playable, but it is too lax on the corner. This way might be playable, but it just doesn't feel right to me, because I am not using my corner stones that much.
This way of playing would be reminiscent of previous games. If I chose to play this way this time, I would try to think of Magicwand's advice, "one stone is aji"... But again, why do I play the pincer to begin with if he's just going to attack with it?
I will play this way. I predict this kind of a flow. It seems perfectly fine to me. White may have some potential on the bottom, but it is nothing to worry about.
In contrast to the pincer stone options I outlined above, here I can chose where to split white at the time of my choosing.
As I mentioned earlier, I don't want to pincer right now, because I suspect the flow will be controlled by Magicwand in a similar manner as our previous matches. It'd probably go something like this if I pincered:
I'm not sure if will be exactly in this place, but in any case, I will go on to attack . This works well with my top right stone, and I think it's the way to go.
Magicwand might approach the top right first, but I think it's unlikely since I can have an ideal pincer:
Prediction for the game: If Kirby loses composure, he loses. If he doesn't lose it, he will win. I hope he means it when he said, "honorable game" Because that's easy to say, hard to do especially after being so emotional after four games. It is surprising how quickly one can lose power when control of emotions are not in check. I know this myself, and I have seen people lose it.
This move makes the right side kind of smaller. However, as explained in the previous post, I already have an answer for the right side. I think that the move I played is too good to pass up, since it works so well with the marked stones:
Something like this... But I'm not totally sure, yet.
In retrospect, perhaps my last move should have been on the 4th line. I think that I value territory a bit too much sometimes, so I don't always play on the forth line... But if I had, the diagram I showed earlier isn't as effective for white:
So maybe that stone should have been on the 4th line. Of course, he probably would choose a different line of play (at least not , above, I think). But it's OK. I can still split the bottom.
edit:
By the way, I like playing , above, as a low keima, because the bottom right is already on the 4th line. It's not that big for white now to approach the right side.
This move is kind of an easy decision. I limit the potential of the stone I'm capping, I give aid to my top center star point stone. Also, I can potentially attack his stone on the left later.
