Guys, sorry to jump in
This is the first Malkovich game I'm following.
I would enjoy playing one soon, but I have some doubts.

1) Back on move 12, black predicted several moves from white and, apparently, white had no problems with it and just kept on playing. Is this normal on those games ? I ask because I'm DDK and that would be a spoiler in my case.

2) How is the Malkovitching handled by the opponent ? I mean, appart from posting things like "I will win this game", "mirror this", there are notes that actually may give hints to the other part. Is the note thing only available to 3rd parties ?

3) this is a more tech stuff. I follow this thread with Tapatalk on Android and the boards are not shown nicely, is there a way to improve it ?

The players agree with one another before the game starts that they will not read the hidden comments. Spectators, too, should not reveal the hidden comments to the players.

1) I did that because I thought the moves were forced and obvious for both sides, and I wasn't giving away any information about my future plans by putting down several moves in a row. However, white had the option of rejecting my sequence at any point.

2) Both parties are bound by the honor system not to look at each other's hidden notes until the end of the game.

3) You might want to post about this in the Forum/Site Suggestions and Bugs subforum.

When I played the knight's move, I thought he might try and push through, but I think I'll be okay.

@Dragon Pie: No, I didn't consider that move. It does seem pretty strong though; I wish I had thought of it. Like I said, I felt rather lost about what to play, but I didn't want to sit on my move for days without figuring anything out, so I just played what I thought to be the best of the moves I considered.

Due to him extending instead of haneing for his last move, I feel I have a bit of breathing room with my bottom-right group, so I'm going to start moving this stone and trying to put pressure on his other group. Here's one path I'm looking at. It's not perfect, but I can't really find anything better at the moment.

I'm surprised to see this kind of assessment from Dusk Eagle. I suppose a game is always quite different from a player's perspective. I think this result is fantastic for him. If his game goes as projected (which MW will absolutely not allow)...

I was surprised by MW's last move. It yields less territory and puts a stone on a point where it may have not been necessary. While it might be aji-keshi, Black can treat the triangled stones as a forcing exchange and never look back. The triangled White stone doesn't accomplish much in terms of future reduction either, as Black is very unlikely to make territory on the bottom anyway.

If Black can get away with pushing White along the fifth line as on the top, it can't be bad for him. Of course the threat of san-san at a remains for White.

At any rate, the marked White stones are looking unhealthy in this scenario. My bet is that at this point, MW would much prefer to have played his G6 stone at b or c.

This is assuming a lot, however. If MW has any say in the matter, one expects the board to look QUITE different. :mrgreen:
