The type of opening we started with in this game is a type I don't care for. I prefer to be aggressive, but as white I feel tentative to do so (or overly do so to compensate) and end up trying to play a style of game that isn't my forte.

When white took tengen in the first few opening moves instead of defending the corner, My thoughts were to disrupt the standard opening and give myself some confidence in my position by giving myself the influential lead.

From there my goal was to be agressively territorial based, though slightly influenced by greed... (I love to kill groups what can I say?), as you can see by my invasions and undercutting of black throughout the board. Will it be enough? I am not sure... but hopefully things go as planned...

As for what I am planning now...

you will have to wait and see... until I make my next move...

I'll start my commentary then.

I wish I had more time to analyze the game today--I hope to do so soon. Also, I don't remember manyimpressions from this game, except that the very peaceful opening was paradoxically unnerving. It is interesting, because we started the game in April, when I was rated at 14kyu on KGS. I've gained about 4-5 stones since then, so I would've played the game differently today. In the opening, for example, I would either have gone with the high Chinese opening, or played the sanrensei instead of this. But I don't really know if the opening was unreasonable for either side through the first 10 moves.

I also think I would have approached around C6 instead of F4 at B35, but I'm not sure.

If I had more time to count, I would, but I think W is ahead with the a large area on the left side and some points in the lower right. Black has some potential in the middle right, but not a whole lot toward the center.

On this move, I thought about B16 to make sure I could live. But I don't think white can kill, though I could definitely be wrong. I almost played G18, but I decided something around M7 was worth more because there were more unsettled points. Again, could be wrong. I thought about playing on L or even K, because, as I played, white can surround some territory, but I think I might have some reducing moves on the other side from my F4 group.

While at first it looks like black is about to destroy my possible moyo, I welcome the move. I am playing my current move with two possible objectives in mind... Protect my moyo and lure black into a trap the trap where he sacrifices stones... i.e by trying to save the stone at g8 possibly.... we shall see....

"a", "b", and "c" all seem to be quite big. The lower left black group looks like it's in a lot of danger as well?

I think I'm behind by at least 15 points, so I don't know if this is winnable. But if I don't secure nearly all of the territory on the right, there is zero chance (although there might be zero chance anyway). I'm going to have to think about where I can make something happen.

This looks like a big move to me, and I would've played it earlier except that there isn't much territory potential here to begin with.

I have a goal here.... But I want to make sure i solidfy this group before trying it...

the goal is to play put some force onto blacks moyo in the h-k 15-16 area..... my goal is to complicate things....
