@Buri I didn't see any bad words by Twitchy. Even if there were, they were not directed at you. Even as you were as old as I am, that would not be an excuse for being hypersensitive.
Nevertheless welcome to the forum. :)

Greetings,
I think my point was clear enough. Nobody else said I was playing badly. Frankly it seems rather glib on your part to dismiss the fact that being criticized in this way is a little personal and not necessary. it's rude to accuse me of being hyper sensitive too. Can you remember when you were a beginner?
Suppose that was my best effort?
Have you thought about it from that perspective?
Sure, at the end of the day it's only a games, but it is important to me and as a beginner I am happy to hear about mistakes, but why say I played

'badly? It's uncalled for, which is why the other posters don't talk that way.
I am an experienced teacher in a number of fields of education and I take care and pride in the way I encourage people.
NLP has an interesting perspective on this kind of issue. It suggests that 'the message received is the message sent.' In other words , it is not up to you to determined whether or not I am hypersensitive.
I am not that bothered by the issue in overall but since I did not choose to have my game put there perhaps people could exercise a little care in the way they handle things?
Is that really too much to ask....
Cheers,
Buri

I'm confused, are buri and blindgod two accounts from the same person?

When I saw that there were new posts in this thread, my first thought was, "Good. Maybe someone has more commentary on the game and how I can improve." And then I open it up and, for the life of me, I can't tell what the hell is going on.

Getting back to the game, move 79 has been bothering me. It seems overly aggressive (I even thought so when I played it). I'd like some feedback on this move, please.

Maybe it's a Tyler Durden thing. I do wake up most mornings feeling unrested.

Context is important; what's your assessment of the overall board at that stage? Do you think you are ahead or behind? If you're behind, then aggressive moves may be what's needed.

First a comment on a comment (with misnumbered moves corrected to what seems to be the intention):

... B is playing somewhat badly (2 is a mistake I see alot in high handi games i play against people, it leaves the 3-3 open.)

No, black 2 is an excellent attacking move to make the white approach stone heavy, prevent it making eyes from sliding to the corner, and utilise the marked black stone to pincer on the side as white cannot make a full extension from his 2 stone wall after standing. There is indeed a weakness at the 3-3 point but it is dangerous for white to play here with the weak group on the outside. Later on in the game 3-3 could indeed become a good move.

P.S. Is Buri the black player in the game? I only saw TwitchyGo say black played "badly" not white.

I should have guessed that, sorry for the fuzz. This thread confused me for the second time.

In regards to black, the biggest two problems that I see (and I'm sure there are others that I lack the experience to see) are that:

1. He played a number of unnecessary moves in the middle and end game that allowed me to take sente. I'm at work now and can't look at the sgf to give specific moves.
2. He left the upper right open at the end. That mistake was, I think, worth about 20 points. I might not have seen it, except that I've made the same mistake in the past and been punished for it.
