At around move 187, you are around 40 points behind. If, around this point, white had protected the big group lower right, you would have had no chance. So you were definitely lucky. However, to win any game of Go, one needs to be lucky. The skill is in spotting that you have been lucky! You dispatached the group when it was presented to you, and so beat someone 7 stones stronger in an even game. Well done! |

One thought in the bottom left, before move 219: Does this work? Seems like black gets seki/ko at worst to me. |

Very thanks to all. EdLee, your commentary is good because I didn't see until he punished me. It was a important move. drmwv, I know that I was behind in a lot of points, but when I see that I could kill his rocks, I did ![]() skydyr, I can promise that I couldn't imagine make moves as your say until that I read you. I will try find situations like that, because I had not crossed his mind such movements. |

@skydyr: What about this? White lives, I think. Edit: Still worth a lot of points though. |

In this case, the key is that white is sealed in and has few outside liberties and an open undivided eyespace. Even if you don't find anything, it's worth spending 30 seconds or a minute thinking about moves on the inside to see if they can get you more than the other way. If you do, play it when you think it's worth it, and if you don't, maybe you've at least found some good ko threats. |

A short comment on the game: The move 101 seems very bad. O14 was much better than Q8. Basically, we need to play around the weaker group at first. |
