Hello, could you please help me figure out my mistakes so that I can improve?

A few questions:

:b13: maybe should be at F3 instead since it's the more open side?
:b29: is there a better way to answer white's invasion? The whole corner sequence here just seemed like a disaster for me. Anything better?
:b83: better to answer at K17 I think.

If you can find any other mistakes please let me know. By the end of the game, white was ahead by nearly 50, and there's even a ko at T8 that white could play, so I clearly made some wrong choices. Thanks in advance!

Okay, well my first comment is that it is not continued good etiquette for your first post to be a request for a review. You should introduce yourself first so that people know a little about you at least. Having said that, I was in review mode after helping some other people so I put together a few comments:

b9 is wrong. You left W get an ideal shape to couner your lower right position. Invade at 12 instead. W will capture that stone but you will get a better position at the top and W's position will be small.

b13 is fine. F3 is low, same as 3 and so not that appealing.

b27 is a low stone sandwiched between two low stones. Why isn't it on the 4th line? If you are going to play at the top H15 look more appealing to me.

b29: You have given W very strong positions on either side. You cannot expect much out of this. There is nothing wrong with this move: it is the follow up which causes problems. I would have considered answering N3 with P5. Q9 was a problem: block at S3. The two bloack stones are not important after white gets strong, but the corner is big.

b61: the whole sequence leading up to this shows a lack of a plan. Black has got about 5 points and white much more in an area which was originally blacks. N4 is the culprit.

B83: Or play L15 insteads of K16. Give is little on the side to nullify the W strength in the middle.

B93: this move at G18 is too small and, because of wB15 is gote. J4 looks much better. The whole ensuing sequence is not the important area for either side,

Hello, and thanks for your comments! Apologies for not posting an introduction first! I now have posted one.

I have a question about your comment here:

Are you saying to invade at Q12, or R12? I assume you meant R12 since Q12 seems like a thank you move to me. Could you show the sequence you are talking about here? If I invade at R12, I'm having trouble finding the sequence where white captures that stone and black a better position at the top.

bR12, wP14, bO16, wQ11, bR15. White now need to play some extra move and black can extend along the top with a greater grasp on the corner. The single stone also has some aji left.

What if white simply plays S12 to connect under though? I was thinking bR12, wS12, bS13, wR13, bS11, wQ12, bR11, wQ11, bS10. It just doesn't seem good for black to me, because now white has some influence and I only get a small life on the side in exchange.

As DrStraw says, :b13: is OK. F-03 is a good idea, too. As is simply making a double wing on the bottom side.

I second DrStraw on :b27:. The low play is so 17th century.

Yes. The underneath attachment is not only passive, it leads to bad shape. Maybe the kosumi at Q-07, but the fighting could get complicated. Or maybe the top attachment at Q-06, with the idea of sacrificing the R-08 stone and securing the corner with sente. Then Black can play the attachment at G-04. :)

:b39: If you are going to connect here, the solid connection is better, given the weaknesses at Q-05 and R-03.

:b43: The attachment at N-04 seems questionable. Black wants to play the nobi at N-05, but then ends up with bad shape. Pulling back to O-04 instead avoids that, but that does not look good after White extends to M-05.

With the play in the bottom right corner, White takes a definite lead.

Better not to get in that position. First, as pointed out, don't play L-17, play L-16 to start with ( :b27: ). Second, do not answer :w78:. The sacrifice is a large yose. Better to reduce the White framework in the center top.

Also, :b67: is doubtful. Better P-14, eh?

Thank you Bill for the comments. I agree with everything you said! I guess my biggest mistake in this game was not invading directly with move 9. Seems that gave white an ideal shape on the right side, from which the invasion later on became a real burden to deal with. After white invaded, I also made some very big mistakes there that gave white a definite lead as you said. Thank you both again for the review!
