Okay so we keep going. Yesterday I thought about ending the series with 2 conclusions: - fighting is no good without anything to gain - I can't fight Today we continue. With these 2 conclusions in mind, we'll attempt to make 2 new conclusions: - I'll fight to gain - I'll learn to fight Today I meet an opponent I've already met 2 months ago, then as 12 kyu and I lost by 3.5 pts Today I faced him with 3 black stones on the board, I had to play as white. Because of that disadvantage, I played moves I ordinarily wouldn't play (usually I'd respond more passively and safe) and it made for an interesting game. Once again, any help especially concerning fighting would be much appreciated! |

Move 37 one to the left would enclose black (who might then die), the 2nd purpose of going into right is not important now, enclosing black well is #1 priority. 43 clamp is a nice idea to have in your arsenal, but if black played better would likely fail: n10 and k9 cut and you have too many weaknesses, he was kind to give you a stone at j9. |

Congratulations on your win! ![]() Ian Butler wrote: Because of that disadvantage, I played moves I ordinarily wouldn't play (usually I'd respond more passively and safe) and it made for an interesting game. Sounds like you should give more handicaps. ![]() |
