I'd like to start posting some of my games that I find interesting or quite satisfying. Here's one:

Let me know if you like the games. If so, I may post more.

When you do, please start a separate thread for each game. This makes it much easier for reviewers and readers.

With this goal in mind, I copied this thread.

Move 17: Remember the proverb: "Hane at the head of two stones without looking"
You must play N14.

29: This is way too small, used only in the most desperate situations. Try L4 or F6.
Are you concerned that he might make eye space in there? Let him try. Leave the small moves to him - while you take something bigger.
Maybe he lives in there. If so, it will be a small and mean life, while you surround on the outside. and your outside influence will be worth more than his territory.

33: Good idea. It may be a bit thin, but it has the right flow.

37: Again, you must hane here.

39: :)

45: With 44, he is starting a fight for eye space. This is huge. You have to answer.
( BTW, aslo at stake may be territory in the lower right corner. )
I would play N4 without reading.

63: You must connect at P5. This keeps his groups separated.

66 thru 76: All he has to do is play J2 on any of these five moves and he lives easily.

In summary: There is death in the hane. Use it more often, and you will become several stones stronger overnight.

17 - I disagree. Both groups here are already stable - neither player's next move will really be sente here. Hane is still big, but not as big as playing around the lower right IMO.

29 - I would cap without much thought. Black on the right is strong and White can't escape to the left.

:w16: DL likes Q7 better. (DL: global: favors :white: )(*)

:b17: DL thinks this hane is big; another candidate is approach C14; LR corner not big. (DL: global: favors :white: )(*)

:b29: DL likes J4 shoulder hit.
(DL: global: favors :white: )(*)

:w44: DL: :white: missed the big H8. (*)

Thanks for the input, guys. That 29 at J4 is interesting.

Actually white is only stable as long as black doesn't get N14. It is almost sente to play M14 or L15, because then the cut at N17 becomes relevant.

But stability isn't the main issue here. The white stones on the right side are still not settled, and that is big.

Also, if black ever wants to do anything with that corner group, it has to be toward the center. Growth is inhibited on the sides by two white groups.
