I had an opportunity to play an even game against a stronger player online. It was a quick (10m + 3x30s) and unrated game, so my opponent probably didn't play up to his true strength. Nevertheless, such games are good learning opportunities, so I am posting it here hoping to get some reviews from stronger players. Thanks in advance! :)

I thought the game was pretty even for a long time. I thought that I was behind when white played 88. I was probably behind before that, but I can't quite pinpoint the moment I started falling behind.

black was ahead and started to lose from 51.
almost all moves after 51 seems timid or wrong direction.

since I can't figure out how to post sgf files. I'll just comment here.

Move 14 - looks like the wrong move by white.

Move 24 - seems wrong by white again.

Move 46- The lower left joseki is obviously unfavorable for white . He had c8 already, so he should have played different to get sente.

Move 49 - doesn't seem necessary.

Move 51- This is definitely not necessary now. You lost a move here, this is where white starts catching up. Instead of this move you could have played the move white played at 52.

Move 57 - This move seems too loose. After white invades I can't see any good responses for black.

Move 65 - your peep move seems aji keshi. see below

Move 73 - this diagonal move seems really small, a jump to the center like k11 seems bigger.

I agree entirely with magicwand (I had the same thought and then read his post)

I missed these in the game. One of my bigger weaknesses is playing slow/unnecessary moves. Should I have played on the bottom side instead? Or is it bigger to protect that gap on the top side?

What would be a good move instead and what do you think my most important in-game goal should be at that point?

edit: Maybe 3 for black instead of 1 is better. black plays 3 first, then white goes 5 and then play the point to the right of 1.

Maybe your opponent let you beat yourself. :) Too much small and passive play.

Edited goof. ;)

Wow, thanks a lot. I really appreciated the details. I'll learn quite a bit from this.
